About the Trip
Honeymoon Israel provides highly subsidized trips to Israel for couples to share fun, meaningful experiences with each other and build friendships and community with peers.
On Honeymoon Israel, you will experience Israel’s culture, beauty, and society over nine days in a way you could never do on your own. You and 20 other couples will spend nine days hitting the best tourist spots—the Western Wall, Jerusalem’s Old City, the beaches of Tel Aviv—as well as unique experiences you wouldn’t get on a standard vacation, like meals with local families and meetings with high-level public officials and business leaders.
You'll visit sites important to Jewish, Christian, and Muslim history, taste the best Israeli food and wine, encounter the natural beauty of the Middle East, and meet Israeli peers to hear about life in Israel from their point of view. Trip itineraries balance group experiences and alone time for you and your partner—and neither involves sitting in a classroom. You’ll be out and about most of the day, and have plenty of opportunities for reflection over meals and through structured discussions about politics, religion, and other important topics. Every trip includes two unique Shabbat (sabbath) experiences—a traditional Shabbat in Jerusalem, and a modern Shabbat experience in Tel Aviv.
The total cost for a Honeymoon Israel trip (including roundtrip airfare, hotels, planned activities and nearly all meals) is $2,500 per couple (The the actual cost is approximately $10,000 per couple!)
Honeymoon Israel is a completely inclusive program—we welcome Jewish/Jewish, interfaith and LGBTQ couples. To participate, couples must be in their first 5 years of marriage or lifelong, committed relationship, have at least one Jewish partner, and one partner between the ages of 25 and 40. Trips are organized locally, so you’ll be traveling with other couples from your community. Each trip is led by one of our local partners, senior educators and community professionals who live and work in your city and share our vision and values. You’ll have a chance to get to know your fellow travelers and leaders before the trip.
